Fly fishing can be a rewarding, year-round sport that can be enjoyed by the entire family. The Dame Juliana League's Learn to Fly Fish Course is intended to get you started in the sport. You will learn all the basic skills and with a little more practice and time, you can become a skilled fly fisher.

The course cost is $95.00. This well designed course is a great value and will provide you with all the same information and instruction that other, more expensive, courses provide.

Our club has been in existence for well over 50 years, and the next course in 2025 will be the 30th year that we have featured this class for the mid-atlantic community.

All of our instructors are experienced, seasoned fly fisherman who have fished across the country and abroad. The basics of casting will be taught and led by Fly Fishers International (FFI) Certified Casting Instructors. In order to ensure an adequate student to teacher ratio, The course is limited to 30 participants and pre-registration is required.

All equipment is provided and a fishing license is not required. If you have a fly rod and reel, feel free to bring them along. Plan to join us for a fun-filled day! A streamside lunch is provided and a raffle featuring fly fishing equipment, materials, flies, and literature will be held at the end of the course.

What the Course Includes:

  • Fly Casting Instruction

  • Basic Equipment Needs

  • Lines, Leaders and Knots

  • Trout Food (i.e. Entomology)

  • Food Fly Patterns

  • On-Stream Technique Demonstrations

Individuals are encouraged to sign up for attending our 30th annual Learn to Fly-Fish Course (LTFFC), at Warwick County Park in Chester County. Please click HERE to register thru Google.
